About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reservation Agent to join Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Have full and up-to-date knowledge of the hotel products and services.
- Ensure all telephone calls are handled politely and efficiently, ascertaining and accurately meeting the caller’s needs using a client-oriented approach.
- Check arrival reports: 48 hours before arrival and 5 days before arrival.
- Handle all reservations through different channels (via email/fax/telephone/website) efficiently. Prepare pro forma invoices as requested by accounts.
- Actively participate in maximizing revenue through upselling.
- Follow up on non-guaranteed and waitlisted bookings.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previous Experience in the form of cross-training or internships in the reservations, revenue, or sales departments
- Good knowledge of Opera PMS
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Handle shift responsibilities in the absence of the reservation coordinator; assist newly joined colleagues on the job duties of an online reservation sales agent.
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a luxury hotel.
