Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Retail Sales & Operations Supervisor to oversee our operations and sales activities across our branches in Oman. This role will play a key part in driving sales, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a motivated, high-performing sales team.

Position Overview

As the Retail Sales & Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily, weekly, and monthly sales operations, ensuring that all processes align with company standards. You’ll act as a leader to the branch sales teams, resolving operational challenges, implementing schedules, and supporting team leaders in reaching their potential. The role requires a skilled problem-solver who can effectively work under pressure and has in-depth knowledge of the Oman market, especially within the fragrance or retail sector.

The ideal candidate is a proactive team leader with a strong background in retail operations, sales, and market dynamics in Oman.

Sales Management

  • Drive and manage sales performance across branches to meet or exceed established targets.
  • Monitor individual and branch-level sales, and implement strategies to improve sales metrics.
  • Identify sales trends, optimize product placement, and work with the merchandising team to increase visibility of high-potential products.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of sales reports to track progress, evaluate performance, and make informed decisions for improvement.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure that all retail operations adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee branch operations to maintain a high standard of service, cleanliness, and product presentation.
  • Address and resolve day-to-day operational challenges faced by the branches, providing hands-on solutions when needed.
  • Regularly assess operational workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Task Scheduling & Performance Monitoring

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules for all branch teams, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, and adjust schedules as needed to address real-time challenges.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess team productivity and compliance with task schedules.
  • Use task management tools or software to track progress and ensure completion of all scheduled activities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor branch sales teams to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Act as a support figure for team leaders, guiding them in addressing team-related issues and motivating team members.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to improve team members’ product knowledge, customer service skills, and sales techniques.
  • Develop and implement team-building activities to promote unity and collaboration within branches.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Act as the main point of contact for addressing any operational issues that impact sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints and issues escalated by branch teams in a timely manner.
  • Make informed decisions to adapt to market changes, customer demands, or unexpected challenges.

Market Analysis & Strategy Development

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Oman retail market and trends that impact the business.
  • Analyze competitor activities and customer preferences to recommend adjustments to sales and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback to enhance product offerings based on market and customer demands.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (open to all nationalities)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales and operations within the retail industry, preferably in Oman.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, preferably within a multi-branch setup.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in sales management and task scheduling tools.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and operational reports to drive improvements.
  • Market Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Oman retail market, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and leading teams.
