Purpose and Scope of the Job
Under supervision and guidance will collect, accurately analyze, timely publish and maintain DASH statistical data within the required time frame.
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards:
- Statistical data required by the Administration and External regulatory bodies are extracted and analyzed as per the time frame mentioned in hospital policy.
- Statistical reports are published to the Internal and External stakeholders as per the timeline.
- Adhoc request receive from the various stakeholders are published timely and accurately.
- Statistical data used for the analysis are saved in the designated folder for future reference.
- Periodic quality control on the data collected sources to ensure data quality is maintained including data source, comparable, validated etc.
- Develop new and improve methods on data collection, analysis and dissemination of data.
- Coordinate with Clinical HODs to ensure their request is matching with the definition of the data maintained by HIM.
- Support the Project Improvement Plan initiatives by providing the required statistical information
- Design reports in BI Launchpad to extract information from the EMR.
- Validates data extracted to ensure data accuracy is maintained during the transition of new reporting tools.
- Periodically access the information shared to the Administration is fulfilled their objective.
- Update the policies related to the Statistics report while encountering new / upgraded process
- Notify the inaccurate information identified while generating reports to the concerned department i.e. customer service, finance, nursing etc.
- Maintain the privacy and security of the protected health information (PHI), hospital statistical data and store in a manner that protect the confidentiality of patients.
- Assist in cross training the staff about data collection and analysis.
- Support Administration /Clinical HODs during Operational planning activities (preparing PowerPoint presentations / or provide the data required).
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Competences and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Records/Health Information Management/Statistics
- Minimum two years’ work experience in the Medical Records Department

- Proficiency in the English Language
- Computer literacy—highly skilled in using various reporting tools.
Performance Competencies
- Knowledge of computerized data collection and statistical data analysis program.
- Ability to provide technical guidance to stakeholders to generate the required report
- Familiar about hospital daily operations including admission, discharge, visits, Medical Coding, EMR documentation.
- Knowledge in data management, quality control, medical data editing and abstracting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and submit the report on timelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
