Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant IT Manager to support the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and systems. The successful candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day IT functions, ensure timely technical support, and help implement technology initiatives that align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT Manager in overseeing the company’s IT operations, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor system performance, security, and backups to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in planning and implementing IT projects, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely procurement and deployment.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related purchases, services, and maintenance.
- Support cybersecurity measures and assist in training employees on IT policies and safe practices.
- Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and business applications.
- Experience with IT security practices and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage.
