Job Description Summary

The Quality AND Data Analyst is responsible for providing basic descriptive statistics, data visualization, and data management .- which includes but is not limited to data acquisition, validation, storage, security, and analysis—as well as understanding of data from various teams and systems within the organization, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), databases, and data warehouses, to facilitate the improvement of the quality, safety, and efficiency of care delivered throughout the JHAH system.

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities (20%)

  • Develop quality improvement methodologies while establishing the organizational KPIs
  • Analyze data for decision support, measure performance, and identify trends

Operational Roles & Responsibilities (80%)

  • Data Management
  • Acquire and merge data from various sources, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases, and data warehouses, into a standardized structure, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely availability
  • Understand and interpret current and proposed or draft measure definitions, specifications, and collection methodologies of clinical and administrative data, including data for reporting to governments or to various accreditation or oversight organizations
  • Validate data integrity through cleaning, transforming, and validation processes using methods to improve reliability
  • Store data efficiently by maintaining architecture and models for analytics databases
  • Protect confidential data by following security policies and managing access securely
  • Understand standard administrative health, clinical, and quality data elements, the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) clinical modifications, procedure classification systems, and current procedural terminology. CPT
  • Ensure continuity with thorough documentation to prevent business interruptions and enhance data quality
  • Develop and maintain databases for small projects, handling data extraction and integration tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
  • Lead the Associate Healthcare Quality Analytics Specialist team

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, health informatics, quality management, or other related fields OR a master’s/PhD in the same related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with activities centered on quality analytics or related field
  • Fluent in English
